A gorilla permit is an official entry ticket, that a traveler purchases and allows them to have a secure and guided walk through the tropical rain forest, to see and witness the gorillas in their habitats. The walk takes you about 2-8 hours, depending on their location in the forest. A gorilla permit works once, and this allows you to see the gorillas one on one for 1 hour.

How do I cancel my gorilla permit?

If you choose to cancel your gorilla trekking permit, a request to do so within eight (8) days to the tracking date shall attract no refunds from UWA.

If your requests for cancellation of a permit falls between nine (09) to forty-five (45) days to the tracking date, the booker will be entitled to 25% of the permit value.

A request to cancel a permit between forty-six (46) to ninety (90) days to the tracking date will give you back 50% of the permit value.

A client requesting cancellation of a permit ninety-one (91) days and more to the tracking date shall be entitled to 75% of the permit value.
