3-Day Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Park

This trip will take you to Nyungwe Forest National Park, you will then trek the Chimpanzees and Colobus monkeys, take your adventures on the canopy walk with great views of the forest, enjoy the Tea plantation experience. On the way you will experience Rwanda’s culture in Nyanza king’s palace museum. You will be using your private 4×4 safari Jeep.

En route, marvel at the sight of Kamegeri Rock in Ruhango District and pause for an immersive cultural experience at the Nyanza King's palace. Continue the expedition, arriving at your hotel to check-in and unwind amid the property's amenities. Prepare for an enthralling tea plantation experience, immersing yourself in the local culture. Commence your day with an early breakfast at your hotel, setting the tone for an exhilarating hike in search of chimpanzee communities. The Nyungwe National Park houses an estimated 400-500 Rwandan chimpanzees, with a small group residing in the Cyamudongo Forest. Listen for the echoes of these lively primates, as their calls resonate through the dense forest, guiding your quest. While on the hike, keep an eye out for migratory birdlife, such as the Ross' turaco, grey-cheeked hornbill, red-breasted sparrow hawk, and regal sunbird. After your hike, return to the hotel for lunch before embarking on the Canopy Walk adventure. This unique experience involves traversing a suspended bridge spanning 160 meters through the lush montane rainforest, elevating you 70 meters above the forest floor. Revel in the extraordinary vistas of the ancient forest, a spectacle offered by this remarkable activity. You will enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel, proceed to the forest for the Colobus monkey trekking adventure. Once you spot the monkeys, you will normally have up to an hour to observe them. After your experience you will return to the hotel check out and transfer back and drop off to your hotel residence or airport depending on your flight details See you on your next visit.
