Welcome! You will arrive in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport, located on a peninsula that juts out into Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in Africa. Here a representative/guide from Kenlink Tours will transfer you to Via Via Guest House for your overnight stay.

Today's journey leads to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a scenic 7-hour drive traversing through central Uganda. En route, a refreshing stop for lunch awaits in Fort Portal town. Continuing the southern descent from the highlands into the Rift Valley, the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range paints the distant landscape. The drive progresses towards Kasese town before the ultimate arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon reaching the park, settle in at the comfortable Pumba Safari Cottages. If time allows upon your arrival, an optional visit to Katwe, renowned for its centuries-old salt mining activities at Lake Katwe, is available. Despite its high saline content, Lake Katwe sustains the livelihoods of Katwe residents who harvest salt under the equatorial sun. Later, return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Following an early breakfast at 6:00 am, your guide will lead a captivating game drive to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Kasenyi track. Keep an eye out for an array of wildlife such as lions, hyenas, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kob, and an impressive variety of bird species including ibis, fish eagles, and vultures. Around 10:00 am, return to the lodge for relaxation and a satisfying lunch. At 3:00 pm, prepare for an enthralling boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a pivotal highlight of your safari. Traverse the channel to witness abundant wildlife, including elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and a myriad of bird species like eagles, kingfishers, sparrows, doves, weaver birds, eaglets, and sunbirds congregating around the channel's waters. Delight in their natural interactions amid this picturesque setting. After the memorable 3-hour boat cruise, return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Embark on a captivating morning game drive, spanning approximately 3-4 hours, where you'll have ample opportunity to spot diverse wildlife. As you enter the Ishasha Sector, the quest to find the renowned tree-climbing lions commences. Keep a keen lookout for these unique lions, as there are about 4 prides totaling more than 40 members, distinguished by the striking black-maned males. Additionally, witness the abundant presence of over 1000 elephants in the area, alongside gatherings of topi and Uganda kob antelopes. Capture these moments through your lens, as the drive offers splendid photography opportunities. Following the exploration, depart the park and continue your journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, settle in at Ride4AWoman Guest House or a similar lodge. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
After an early breakfast at 6:00 am, head to the briefing point with a packed lunch in hand. Attend the ranger's briefing to familiarize yourself with the trekking expectations. Accompanied by guides, navigate through the bush, searching for the resting spot of the gorilla family you're tracking. Once found, immerse yourself in the forest, observing these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, particularly the majestic silverback, while sitting amidst the lush rainforest. It's an awe-inspiring experience knowing you're among the few witnessing the mountain gorillas in their wild habitat. Following the mandatory 1-hour observation period, the guides will guide you back to the trailhead where your driver awaits. Receive your trekking certificate and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, check-in at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort and unwind.
In the morning, take your time to relax and savor breakfast at your leisure. By 9:00 am, complete your check-out procedures and commence your journey toward Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy a lunch break in Mbarara town before proceeding to Lake Mburo. Upon arrival, begin an exhilarating game drive to explore the park's offerings. Lake Mburo National Park boasts unique wildlife including impalas, antelopes, and Burchell’s Zebra. Keep an eye out for elands, giraffes, and other intriguing species. The park's landscape of rolling hills, lakes, and swamps creates an authentic African setting, blending the Tanzanian savannah with Uganda's scenic beauty. Around 6:30 pm, arrive at Eagles Nest, where you'll check in for dinner and an overnight stay.
Begin your day with a 6:00 am wake-up call followed by a satisfying breakfast. Lake Mburo National Park offers a unique experience - a guided bush nature walk led by a seasoned ranger. During this morning excursion, encounters with returning hyenas and hippos heading back to the lake after a night of grazing are quite common. Witness the hippos cooling off in the lake to protect their skin from the sun. This walk also presents opportunities to spot zebras, giraffes, elands, topi, antelopes, buffaloes, as well as various bird species and butterflies. After the nature walk, return to the lodge to freshen up, check out, and prepare for your journey to Entebbe. At the Equator crossing, take some lighthearted photos and explore the local crafts available for purchase, adding to your Ugandan safari experience. Enjoy lunch at the Equator and continue to Entebbe International Airport, ensuring you arrive in time to complete check-in procedures for your onward flight home.
