Overview
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, located in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa, established in 1895. Getting There
- From Durban: The closest gate is the Nyalazi Gate. You can take the N2 north out of Durban for about 240 km, then exit onto R618 towards Mtubatuba/Saint Lucia/Nongoma. Follow signs for Nyalazi Gate.
- From Richards Bay: Travel just over 1 hour via the same gates, with Richards Bay having a smaller domestic airport.
- Gate Times: Open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. during summer (Nov 1 to Feb 28), and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter (Mar 1 to Oct 31).
