Kalissaye Ornithological Reserve, Senegal

Kalissaye Ornithological Reserve protects a shifting sandy islet and surrounding mangrove estuary in the Casamance region, an important breeding site for royal terns, Caspian terns, gulls and other coastal seabirds, and a nesting ground for marine turtles along Senegal's southern shore.
