Lochinvar National Park, Zambia
Lochinvar National Park lies on the southern edge of the Kafue Flats and is one of the finest birding destinations in Africa, with over 420 recorded species. It is celebrated for its enormous herds of endemic Kafue lechwe wading across the seasonally flooded plains, alongside zebra, buffalo and wildebeest. A designated Ramsar wetland of international importance, its lagoons, hot springs and grasslands draw huge concentrations of wattled cranes, pelicans and waterfowl.
