Round Island Nature Reserve, Mauritius

Round Island is a volcanic islet north of Mauritius and a strict scientific nature reserve of global importance, home to endemic reptiles such as the Telfair's skink, Gunther's gecko and keel-scaled boa, along with rare palms and seabird colonies; access is restricted to conservation and research permits only.
