Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, Uganda

Pian Upe is Uganda's second largest protected area and its most extensive savanna wilderness, spreading across the semi-arid Karamoja plains beneath Mount Kadam. This little-visited reserve shelters cheetahs, roan antelope, elands, zebras, ostriches and the rare Uganda kob, offering an off-the-beaten-track safari experience amid vast, empty grasslands and rocky outcrops.
