Thuma Forest Reserve, Malawi
Thuma Forest Reserve lies on the Rift Valley escarpment between Lilongwe and Lake Malawi, protecting steep miombo-clad hills. Co-managed with local communities, it is an important elephant corridor and refuge, also home to buffalo, kudu, leopard and rewarding walking safaris and birding.
