Golden Gate Highlands National Park — Entry Fees & Practical Info

Golden Gate Highlands National Park protects the spectacular sandstone cliffs and rolling grasslands of the Maloti foothills in the eastern Free State. Named for the golden glow its rock formations take on at sunset, the park is a scenic rather than Big Five destination, home to zebras, elands, oribi, black wildebeest and the rare bearded vulture. It offers superb hiking, horse riding and highland landscapes.
