Kasanka National Park, Zambia

Kasanka National Park is a small, privately managed park famous for hosting the largest mammal migration on Earth, when up to ten million straw-coloured fruit bats descend on a tiny patch of swamp forest each November and December. Beyond this astonishing spectacle, the park protects rare sitatunga antelope, pukú, elephants and abundant birdlife across its rivers, wetlands and evergreen forest.
