Nxai Pan National Park, Botswana

Nxai Pan National Park sits on the northern edge of the Makgadikgadi complex and is famous for Baines' Baobabs, a cluster of ancient trees immortalised by explorer Thomas Baines in 1862. During the summer rains the pan fills with grass, drawing zebra, springbok, gemsbok and the predators that follow them. Visitors enjoy classic self-drive game viewing across open, waterlogged grasslands framed by these iconic baobabs.
