Savuti Marsh, Botswana

Savuti is a legendary wildlife region in the south-western section of Chobe National Park, centred on the mysterious Savuti Channel that dries up and flows again over the decades. The area is world-renowned for its large prides of lions famed for hunting elephants, as well as dense concentrations of predators, plains game and the summer zebra migration. Its rocky outcrops bear ancient San rock paintings, adding cultural depth to one of Africa's most dramatic safari destinations.
