Oldonyo Sabuk National Park — Entry Fees & Practical Info

Rising prominently hiking, endurance walks, fitness activities, and group events, making it a natural hub for sports and outdoor experiences. Its peaceful environment also supports mindful retreats, scenic picnics, and wellness-focused adventures away from the city’s bustle. The area also holds national significance as the birthplace of the late Tom Mboya, one of Kenya’s most influential political leaders. In addition, Ol Donyo Sabuk was once home to Sir William Northrup McMillan, an American-born settler and philanthropist who arrived in Kenya in the early 20th century. His former estate later became part of Kenya’s protected areas network, with his grave site preserved within the park — reflecting an important chapter in Kenya’s colonial history.
